Happy Easter !
I never complain about the heat - but man, do I hate the bitchin cold

We had three of the grandkids overnight last weekend. What an adventure! First we went to Barnes & Noble Bookstore. They've got signs all over, advertising the Harry Potter party in a few weeks. We're definitely going. It's so interesting seeing so many people in costume. Anyway, the kids had their favorite drink from the cafe....Caramel Steamers! I also bought a box of Godiva deluxe chocolates while we were there and told the kids that we were all going to pig out on chocolates the next day.....Mmmmmmm.
The next day, I was being a "sleepy head", so my 4-year-old grandson decided to come in my bedroom. For some reason, I just "woke up" and saw him standing right in front of me, just looking at me and smiling. Well, I couldn't resist...and I lifted him up in my bed, but found out that he wanted ME to get up! Oh well, no sleeping late when the kids are here!
I put out some sliced apples to snack on and was going to make breakfast...but the "vote" was overwhelming! They all wanted that box of chocolates for breakfast! Hey...This is a special occasion, and the kids aren't going to come down with some mysterious illness just by eating those deluxe chocolates for breakfast one day, so I broke open the box. But FIRST, I had to teach them how to eat and savor those deluxe chocolates. I told them, "Take a little bite...close your eyes...just savor the creamy taste...and say "Mmmmmmm". Well, they did pretty good at that!!
Then we went on a "nature walk" around the area here. We collected leaves, clover, stones, and even some little frogs that were in a manmade pond!
Then we took off to go to a fireworks stand where we bought "tons" of fireworks! And guess what we're going to do with them.......

Dear Rainbow,
I hope today is a wonderful day - I'd love to see your fireworks but I'll just imagine them instead :)
Well, you're just such a wonderful grandmother - deluxe chocolates for breakfast - you're bad.
Well, I figure that grandparents are here to spoil their grandchildren.
Glad to hear you had a great 4th. Sorry this is a bit late, but the spirit is still in it!
that sure sounds like a scrumptious breakfast, i for one would love to have one. Godiva deluxe chocolates... hmmm.... :D
